CourtSense Cookie Notice
A short list, on purpose
Simply browsing the public CourtSense website does not currently set advertising, personalization, or web-analytics cookies.
Strictly necessary team-connection cookies
When an authorized team user starts a Sunflowers connection, CourtSense may set first-party cookies named sunflowers_oauth_state, sunflowers_oauth_code_verifier, sunflowers_oauth_team_id, and sunflowers_oauth_user_id. They protect and complete the requested OAuth flow, are secure and HTTP-only, use SameSite=Lax, expire after about ten minutes, and are deleted after completion. They are not used for advertising or cross-site profiling.
Why there is no consent banner
The current cookies are used only when needed to provide a connection flow explicitly requested by the user. Because CourtSense does not load non-essential cookie-based analytics or advertising technology, there is currently nothing optional for a visitor to accept or reject.
If this changes
If CourtSense introduces a non-essential cookie or similar technology, we will update this notice and, where required, ask for consent before that technology is enabled. Rejecting an optional cookie will not block the basic public website.
Browser controls
You can delete or block cookies through browser settings. Blocking a strictly necessary OAuth cookie may prevent the requested team connection from completing safely.
